SNJourney is lauching the "Share
For Better Care" campaign. Professional nursing organizations
are full of expertise in their specialities. In an effort
to spread their up-to date knowledge and practices,
we're calling on the organizations to share thier knowledge
and take part in shaping the minds of nursing students.
Professional Nursing Organizations
are the first to know about research and best practice changes
in their area of expertise. We
know that evenance based nursing leads to improved patient
outcomes and much of it involves basic level care. SNJourney
would like to help spread the news of the latest care techniques
and we can reach the students who visit the web site and also
send articles via our newsletter.
The National Pressure Ulcer Advisory
Panel (NPUAP) recently redefined
the definition of a pressure ulcer and the stages of pressure
ulcers, including the original 4 stages and adding 2 stages
on deep tissue injury and unstageable pressure ulcers. We've
contacted the NPUAP to ask for more information, geared towards
students who haven't seen many pressure ulcers.
We're open to any information that benifits students and
nursing as a whole. If there is a call to action that is important
for students to students to know about-let us know. Would
like to promote your speciality? Write an editorial about
the great aspects and what it's like to be in your specialty.
We exist to enhance education and communication for nursing
students.
